In working through the requirements pages there were a number of worthwhile comments that do not go directly to defining the requirements. These are captured here so that they are not lost yet do not get in the way of clearly and succinctly articulating the requirements for the website.
News vs. Events
How do we tell the difference between news and events? Is there a policy? What about things that are both news and events?
Honoring those other than Institutional Members and Commercial Affiliates
How do we honor developers, volunteers, etc.?
Technology base
Is there a JA-SIG "technology base"?

I don't really know. It came from an inline question in the web presence requirements about listing JASIG institutional members and commercial affiliates, along the lines of "What about honoring developers and volunteers?" I don't know what to do about honoring these individuals and organizations, but the inline question doesn't articulate a requirement that helps to figure out how to IA a website and make progress on the web presence, so I'm trying to move these worthwhile side items here out of the main flow of the requirements articulation.
If there is an answer to this question, that answer may well end up being a web presence requirement. The question without that answer didn't seem to me to be helping.
Hope this clarifies,
Andrew
