uPortal uses Maven 2 for its build management system and Ant as a scripting tool. Maven is responsible for dependency retrieval, compiling, testing, and packaging. Ant is responsible for deploying to and cleaning up the servlet container, running initialization scripts and providing uPortal related utility functionality. |
