Customizing your uPortal's content, look and feel. uPortal look and feel is determined by the structure, theme, and skin.
This is best understood as a pipe. Layout XML from the layout manager enters the Structure Transform and is structurally trasformed to, e.g., tabs and columns. In the Theme Transform, it is connected with style classes and ids. A skin, including CSS definitions and actual images, applies the final layer where the pixels meet the browser.
