Jira Release Notes

uPortal 3.0.0-M3 is the third milestone release that includes the following functionality:

  • uPortal 3 rendering context with new UI
  • Template users with SLM
  • Locale Management
    • Management interface for Locale away code
    • Locale preferences UI for user selection
  • Person Directory integration
  • Portlet Servant APIs
  • Groups Management
    • GAP.jar integration
    • Groups manager portlet / servant

This release does not include:

  • Distributed layout support
  • IChannel support

To start uPortal 3 on a machine with a locale other than en_US you must first set the locale to en_US. On Linux this is done as follows

export LC_ALL=en_US
export LANG=en_US

uPortal 3 M3 is a functional development portal. You may deploy and publish your own portlets for testing. We would appreciate any and all feedback on the release and please log any bugs you find in Jira: https://clearinghouse.ja-sig.org/issues/browse/UPT
