      Eliminating the non-useful link to the now-empty old archives does simplify this page, but it doesn't address the underlying problem of those archives disappearing from the web. Are there plans to make those archives available somewhere? The gmane archives only go back so far, certainly not back to the beginning.

        The old archives have been imported into the UW-Madison hosted list archives. I believe this has been complete for a few months.
