With PEAR

pear install  http://www.ja-sig.org/downloads/cas-clients/php/1.0.1/CAS-1.0.1.tgz

Without PEAR

extract wherever you like and update the search path of PHP if needed (cf include_path in your php.ini).

Distribution packages

Debian

There may be soon an official package for phpCAS, as libcas-php in Debian. More details at : http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=49554
