When an exception is thrown by a portlet a received by uPortal, uPortal displays an error with two links 'refresh the channel' and 'reboot the channel'. When clicking on any of those links, a NPE is thrown by CPortletAdapter.initPortletWindow() because pcs is null (setPortalControlStructures() is not called).
The portlet can not be restarted and the only way to get the portlet again is to disconnect and connect again.
