The renderResponse.setContentType throws java.lang.IllegalArgument exception for any MIME type other than text-html. Even when i change to use the portlet window state as EXCLUSIVE this happens. Any insights as to why ???

Could you please include the stack trace of the exception thrown in the description of this issue?

Please see the information at http://support.unicon.net/node/596 for a complete explanation on how to use the exclusive window state. The sample provided at that URL will work with uPortal 2.5.4 and 2.6.0 when they are released.
