JA-SIG Denver - uPortal: Up and Running!
Sunday, June 8 through Tuesday, June 10,
2003 at the Westin Westminster in Denver, Colorado.
The JA-SIG is pleased to welcome our colleagues to
Colorado's beautiful front range at the Westin Westminster.
The Denver conference tracks will include:
- Java development - Introductory, intermediate, and advanced
sessions related to uPortal technology.
- Technical topics - Strategies for channel development,
connector architecture, portal administration, LDAP integration,
using framework services, testing and debugging uPortal, etc.

uPortal Solutions - Demos, panels, kiosks, and how-to
sessions for content providers and developers, representing the
rich catalog of channels now available for free download, vendor
licensing, and inspiration.
- Management topics - Discuss the "State of the Portal" at your
institution; lessons learned in marketing uPortal to schools,
departments, and senior management; implementation and roll-out
"dos and don'ts".

The Java in Administration Special Interest Group
(JA-SIG) is an independent organization designed to increase the
flow of information between educational institutions and companies
involved in the development of administrative applications using
Java technology.
The JA-SIG conference goals are
to:
- Nurture communication of best practices, new technologies, and
innovative methodologies and projects related to Java
- Increase peer review, collaboration, and group discussion
related to institution-developed Java administrative
applications
- Broaden Java technology cross-fertilization between firms and
schools on both a functional and geographic basis
